Job Purpose

 

The Audit Manager (Business Audit) independently performs and manages business audits across all entities and lines of business in the AZAP region. Drives audit regionalisation projects, supports entities in reaching Technical and Customer Excellence, and contributes to strengthening audit opinions and governance effectiveness across the region.

 

 

What you do

 

  • Involve in auditing business areas, in addition to in-depth knowledge and experience in several business areas
  • Plans and executes business audits; leads and coaches audit teams and leads discussions with auditees and senior management during audit kick-off and closing meetings; drives the preparation of closing meeting presentations and final audit reports including management feedback.
  • Coordinates regional audits performed by local audit teams, provides technical advice, drafts regional reports aggregating local results
  • Drives regional harmonisation projects including obtaining the buy-in of local heads of audit and documentation of the regional policies and procedures
  • Contribute to AI and data analytics initiatives within the region, including exploring the use of AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to enhance audit efficiency and quality
  • Performs reporting, quality assessment reviews on local audit teams and monitors the development in assigned OEs
  • Takes on a regional champion role such as Data Analytics, AI, or Agile Auditing champion, coaching entities and coordinating initiatives across the region

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Bachelor's  degree,  preferably  in  a  business  discipline  such  as  accounting,  finance, management.
  • Relevant certifications, for example Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Public Accountant, would be an added advantage. 
  • 5-9 years of internal/external  audit  experience,  preferably  in  the  financial  institution  sector. Prior experience in insurance will be an advantage.
  • Technically strong and able to independently lead/perform audits in many audit areas
  • Strong ethical characteristics 
  • Ability to see the "big picture" and also curious and driven  
  • Ability to deal with all types of people and business situations
  • Trusted partner to the business 
  • Open-minded, a good listener, able to empathise with the auditee and understand the situation from their perspective
  • Good communication skills -to tactfully bring across the issues both verbally and in the report
  • Proficient in MS Office -Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • The role includes approximately 20-30% travel within Asia Pacific, fluency in Mandarin, Bahasa, or Thai would be an advantage
  • Experience in data analytics and familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) for audit applications
  • Prior knowledge of the TeamMate+ tool would be an advantage
  • AI Skills, e.g. ChatGPT, CoPilot, Claude, desirable.
