Our Opportunity:
Allianz Insurance Singapore is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Business Development Manager to join our FA team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in the general insurance industry, with a focus on the financial adviser market. This role is pivotal in driving business growth, expanding market presence, and fostering strong relationships with financial advisers partners.
Responsibilities:
- Design Sales Strategies: Create initiatives aimed at boosting sales performance within the Financial Adviser market, ensuring achievement of assigned targets.
- Cultivate Relationships: Establish and nurture robust relationships with FA firms and individual financial adviser representatives to achieve business goals and foster long-term partnerships.
- Commercial Case Management: Serve as the primary contact for evaluating commercial risks and collaborate with underwriters to secure cases, including assisting with fact-finding, quotation preparation, and issuance.
- Reporting and Review: Prepare management reports for internal and external stakeholders and lead business review sessions.
- Opportunity Identification: Discover market opportunities, trends and insights to aid in product development and enhancement.
- Process Improvement and Digital Enhancement: Assist in reviewing processes and drive transformation to improve sales-related procedures. Provide input to facilitate digital improvements in sales-related systems.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure prompt responses to all business-related inquiries.
- Training Facilitation: Conduct regular training sessions on products and systems for Financial Advisers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development within the general insurance industry, with a focus on the financial adviser market.
- Certification in Basic Insurance Concepts and Principles (BCP), Personal General Insurance (PGI), and Commercial General Insurance (ComGl) with the Singapore College of Insurance.
- Strong understanding of general insurance products and the financial adviser landscape in Singapore.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication and presentation skill
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms to enhance productivity, process efficiency and generate insights.
