Job Role

As a Senior Consultant, you will help Allianz businesses solve complex problems, drive strategic initiatives, and implement change. You will play a vital role in enabling our customers to progress towards their strategic direction and ambitions.

You will lead end-to-end delivery of workstreams and small engagements, translating complex business challenges into actionable strategies and outcomes. You will act as a trusted advisor to clients, guide junior team members, and ensure the delivery of high-quality, insight-driven outputs.

This role sits at the intersection of execution and leadership, requiring strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and emerging digital capabilities, including AI, to deliver tangible business impact.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Workstream Leadership & Delivery Excellence: Lead the delivery of entire workstreams or modules, ensuring high-quality outputs, clear storylines, and executive-ready recommendations. Structure ambiguous problems into hypotheses, analyses, and insights, while maintaining rigorous quality standards throughout delivery.
  • Client Engagement & Influence: Build trusted relationships with mid-to-senior client stakeholders. Facilitate discussions, challenge assumptions, and shape decision-making through insight-led conversations. Anticipate client needs and proactively identify opportunities to add value.
  • Team Leadership & Capability Building: Lead and mentor Consultants and junior team members. Delegate effectively, provide structured feedback, and foster a high-performing team environment. Act as a role model for consulting excellence, professionalism, and ownership.
  • AI-Enabled Consulting & Innovation: Use generative AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to accelerate research, analysis, and synthesis, while improving the quality and efficiency of deliverables. Identify opportunities to incorporate AI into client solutions and transformation initiatives and promote best practices and adoption across the team.
  • Business Development Support: Contribute to client proposal and pitch materials by developing strong narratives and relevant insights. Support creation of thought leadership, reusable assets, and methodologies. Identify potential follow-on opportunities within ongoing engagements.
  • Subject Matter Development: Build strong expertise in key domains such as insurance, operations, or transformation. Become a trusted subject matter expert within project teams and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and capability building.

 

Key Requirements

 

  • Education & Experience: bachelor’s or master’s degree, with 3–7 years of experience in management consulting, advisory, insurance, project/project management roles, or business/finance-related functions; functional expertise in the insurance value chain, agile delivery, project management would be an advantage.
  • Consulting & Analytical Skills: Strong structured problem-solving and hypothesis-driven thinking. Ability to synthesise complex information into clear, actionable insights. Strong conceptualisation, modelling, and storytelling capabilities.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Strong stakeholder engagement abilities, including communication, moderation, facilitation, and presentation; experience collaborating with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Project & Teamwork: Ability to lead small teams or workstreams independently, with strong project planning and coordination skills. Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in diverse, international team environments.
  • AI Literacy: Proficiency in the responsible use of AI tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT), the ability to design effective prompt and workflows, integrate AI into daily consulting tasks, and use AI to enhance deliverable quality.
  • Personal Attributes: Proactive, creative, self-driven, and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory; proficiency in an additional language is advantageous.
