Product Specialist Multi Asset

Join us now as Product Specialist Multi Asset in Japan within the Product Specialists Multi Asset Asia Pacific team. In this role, you will be responsible to work closely with the Product Specialists team and the Investment team members to serve as an advocate for Multi Asset and Equity strategies in Japan. Besides providing in-depth product information, the role also includes to present in Japanese, English and ideally another language to internal and external audiences in business meetings or at larger conferences.

As a Product Specialist Multi Asset, you will be part of the global Multi Asset group which manages around EUR 113 billion in assets and comprises around 75 investment professionals. 

What you do

• Develop expertise in AllianzGI’s investment products and communicate key information to Japan Sales teams and Distribution partners. While the role primarily focuses on the distribution of AllianzGI’s multi-asset products in the Japanese market, it also encompasses coverage of equity products where required.
• Create product materials highlighting investment process, performance, holdings, and case examples for investors.
• Act as the main liaison between the Investment team and sales/marketing professionals.
• Represent fund managers at marketing events and meetings with clients and consultants.
• Own and lead internal and external communication of investment content for marketing purposes.
• Write portfolio commentaries to enhance product presentations for sales and marketing.
• Provide portfolio and strategy-related information to RFP and client service teams.
• Contribute to the further strengthening of AllianzGI’s distinct sustainability value proposition and related product offerings and solutions
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to drive business development.
• Train the sales team in technical aspects of the investment strategy.
• Stay informed about strategy performance versus competitors and explain results to stakeholders.
• Participate in product development for relevant strategies.
• Support supervision and backup arrangement for Fund Management investment process in Japan.

What you bring

• Academic degree in Economics, Finance or similar field of study
• Ideally minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in a product specialist role, portfolio management, retail or institutional sales, business management or high-end product management role preferred
• Experience with Multi Asset-related topics is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, ability to tailor a message for a diverse range of audiences and to clearly articulate investment content
• CFA, CEFA or CIIA qualified or similar qualifications preferred
• Experience in working in a large financial institution and strong networking ability
• Entrepreneurial and organized personality with the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Proactive with internal and external clients and responsive to their needs
• IT and AI literate, experienced user of ppt, doc, xls, MS CoPilot, and ideally of VBA
• Strong written and verbal command of Japanese and English
