Summary
We are looking for an experienced and business-driven professional to join our AAGI P&C Underwriting team as Manager – Non-Motor Product & Business, Underwriting, Reinsurance & Governance. In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end management of assigned non-motor insurance products, ensuring strong underwriting governance, regulatory compliance, portfolio performance, and sustainable business growth. You will also play a key role in supporting reinsurance and natural catastrophe (NatCat) management initiatives while working closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Portfolio Management
- Lead end-to-end product management for assigned non-motor insurance lines across various distribution channels.
- Drive product development, enhancement, and innovation to maintain market competitiveness.
- Apply underwriting guidelines and risk selection criteria to achieve profitable and sustainable growth.
- Monitor portfolio performance and recommend improvement actions based on business insights.
- Conduct portfolio analysis and provide data-driven recommendations to identify trends, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Ensure products comply with internal policies, underwriting standards, and regulatory requirements.
Reinsurance & NatCat Management
- Support reinsurance renewals, data preparation, structuring inputs, and coordination with reinsurers and brokers.
- Monitor portfolio exposure and support natural catastrophe (NatCat) risk assessments.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of exposure, premium, and loss data submissions.
- Provide portfolio insights to support risk optimization and sustainable business performance.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with underwriting governance, product governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage product filing processes and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support underwriting quality reviews and promote consistency with internal standards and guidelines.
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate closely with Underwriting, Claims, Actuarial, Finance, and Distribution teams to deliver business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including brokers and reinsurers.
- Ensure timely, accurate, and high-quality execution of assigned projects and initiatives.
Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in insurance, Business Administration, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in non-life insurance, preferably within non-motor product lines.
- Strong background in product management, underwriting, and portfolio analysis.
- Exposure to reinsurance and NatCat management would be an advantage.
- Understanding of underwriting governance, product governance, and regulatory requirements.
Nice to Have
- Experience in data analysis, portfolio monitoring, MIS, or management reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively across functions.
- Good command of written and spoken English
- Any AI-future skills e.g., ChatGPT, or CoPilot365, will be advantage.
