Who will you be joining?

 

Located at Allianz's headquarters in Munich, the Global Sustainability (GS) team is the key driver of our Group-wide efforts to address societal challenges and opportunities as well as to integrate sustainable business practices into the Allianz Group's value creation.

 

Within this function, the team “Social Regulation and Business” plays a key role in translating regulatory requirements into meaningful business practices and strengthening Allianz’s contribution to social impact.

 

That includes:

 

  • Developing business propositions and public-private partnerships for social impact together with relevant Allianz entities
  • Leading strategic work on climate adaptation
  • Leading the global implementation of human rights due diligence, especially in own operations and supply chains
  • Advising relevant functions on all social regulatory topics, including those related to CSRD and CSDDD implementation
  • Contributing to sustainability reporting, ratings, and NGO dialogue

 

 

How can you make an impact?

 

As a full-time intern, you will become an integral part of our team and gain hands-on experience in a highly dynamic and international environment.

 

Your main tasks will include:

 

  • Supporting the implementation of human rights due diligence across Allianz Group, particularly in relation to German and European supply chain legislation (LkSG, CSDDD)
  • Contributing to ESG reporting activities, especially within the CSRD framework
  • Assisting in research, data analysis, and preparation of presentations and reports for senior stakeholders
  • Supporting project management activities across ongoing sustainability initiatives
  • Monitoring and tracking sustainability performance across key ESG ratings and contribute toprocess imrpovement
  • Collaborating with the team on daily operational tasks

 

 

What are you made of?

 

Must-have requirements

 

  • You are currently enrolled in a Master’s or PhD program and can be based in Germany for the full duration of the internship
    o Note: Enrollment in a Master’s or PhD program and residency in Germany are mandatory requirements. Applications not meeting these criteria cannot be considered
  • You are studying sustainability, business, economics, social sciences, political science, public policy, or a related field
  • You have a strong interest in ESG topics, sustainability, and regulatory developments
  • You bring strong organizational and analytical skills
  • You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office 365 (especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams)

 

 

Nice-to-have

 

  • Prior exposure or interest in the field of sustainability, sustainbaility regulation (e.g. CSRD, CSDDD, LkSG) is a plus

  • You bring strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • You are proactive, comfortable to work independently, and eager to learn in a dynamic environment

  • You are interested in innovation and digital tools, including AI applications
  • Openness to creative and innovative solutions, as well as a passion for working with forward-thinking technologies such as artificial intelligence or internal ChatGPT
