We are seeking to recruit a US senior credit Analyst to join our Global Credit Research team.

The Global Credit Research team underpins the firm's global investment process and value proposition as an active manager. The team’s analysts work closely with the portfolio managers of the Global Fixed Income platform with a common focus on performance and client satisfaction. Analysts support all pillars of expertise for portfolio managers to draw upon and share a globally integrated set of research expertise and insights. The team also includes resources focused on advancing our pioneering ESG and sustainability capabilities onto our Fixed Income platform.

The role will focus on non-financial US issuers with a focus on High Yield. The successful candidate will join the Corporate Research North America team and will work closely with portfolio managers predominantly located in Allianz GI’s European locations as well as with the other credit analysts based in the US, Europe and in Asia.

What you do:

Identify and assess investment opportunities; analytical responsibility for c. 50 HY issuers.

 

Utilize an analytical approach emphasizing financial modeling and company due diligence to determine investment opportunities:

• Forecast company earnings, cash flow generation and capital requirements under various scenarios using in-house financial models

• Incorporate macroeconomic conditions, industry trends and ESG analysis into opinions

• Evaluate company capital structures and perform recovery analysis to determine optimal risk-adjusted return opportunities

• Review security covenants and bond indentures to examine potential risks to security holders

 

Assigning internal ratings

Participating to credit committees and portfolio management meetings

Providing sector views and relative value recommendations within sectors when relevant

Strategize with portfolio managers on positioning for portfolios across sectors and capital structures to maximize returns

Contribute to marketing efforts for various strategies with clients

 

Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI).

 

 

What you bring:

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in credit analysis in the buy-side or sell-side
  • Experience in High Yield required
  • English Fluent
  • Diligent and attention to detail, with strong analytical skills
  • Autonomy and curiosity, reactiveness
  • Team player and ability to build positive relationships across the business
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Bloomberg knowledge and software/programming skills
  • Copilot and/or ChatGPT use
  • CFA a plus
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring immigration sponsorship now or in the future. This includes holders of H-1B, H4, L-1, L-2, TN, OPT, CPT, and other nonimmigrant visas.

 

Job posting range:  $150,000 - $250,000

 

Note the job posting range is exclusive of company benefits or other compensation. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive program. If you are hired, your final base salary will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, experience, skills, competencies, and/or education. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
