Join us now as Finance Manager in Singapore within the Finance & Controlling team. We are seeking to recruit a candidate to oversee the financial reporting, statutory reporting and regulatory reporting for the entities in Singapore.

 

In this role, you will work closely with our onshore and offshore outsourcing vendor to ensure accuracy and timeliness submission of the Singapore local/IFRS GAAP, tax, and regulatory reports; group financial reports, and all other financial management information. You are required to ensure continued compliance with AllianzGI and Group accounting policies, tax rules and regulatory laws.

 

You are also required to act as a sparring business partner, to maintain close and trusting relationships with local management, through the provisioning of value-added advisory services, challenge and contribute as appropriate to support a sustainable business growth, including performing business analytics for existing and new product and mandate assessments and supporting M&A activities.  You will also need to participate in various global projects when necessary.

 

 

What you do

  • Manage and maintain the overall accounting process
  • Perform checking on work and reports submitted by subordinates and supporting teams (including internal and external outsourced service vendors) and authorize accounting inputs and outputs, including hands-on performance of the work where required
  • Review and monitor the quarterly forecast and annual budget against actuals and business investment cases ask
  • Support Audit and Tax filing process, including attending to queries, retrieval of documents, liaising with business units and outsourcing partner and preparation of documentations and schedules to auditors or tax representatives for auditing or tax filing purposes
  • Prepare and review statutory, tax and regulatory reports and surveys (for work done by service vendors)
  • Provide suggestion for proper accounting treatments and reporting requirements for any new / changes in rules, standards, processes and products (both external and internal)
  • Prepare analysis, reporting and presentations for management and internal stakeholders
  • Review and prepare ad hoc assignments from local / regional office
  • Participate in local and regional/global initiatives
  • Monitoring and preparations of audit schedules for balance sheet accounts
  • Provide support to the business and Finance and provide advice and analysis assessments for new and current business and product initiatives
  • Provide improvement initiatives to supervisor to enhance operational efficiency
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned

 

 

What you bring

 

  • Chartered Accountant, Singapore
  • Strong knowledge of the asset management industry in Singapore
  • Over 8-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in asset management industry
  • Audit related experience is preferred
  • Accounting working experience in alternative investments firms (Private Equity/Credit experience) will be an added advantage
  • Accounting working experience in supporting activities relating to Southeast Asia asset management setups will be an added advantage
  • Tax preparation experience in Singapore’s Goods & Services Tax, Withholding tax and Corporate Tax will be an added advantage
  • Regulatory reports and surveys preparation experience in MAS’s regulatory reporting requirements for the Asset Management industry will be an added advantage
  • AI skills: AI and Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Generative AI
